Soft buttery layers of roasted sesame & salted caramel gianduja with hidden pockets of crispy bits. Piped into a beautiful curvy snake. Peeps the snake turned out crazy delicious...I've eaten at least 3 already.
The eyes are kiwi candies made by Candy Labs, a cool little artisan candy company in Montreal.
What is Gianduja?
Gianduja is the magical transformation of a nut or seed and a chocolate becoming one. Couples with a love story for the ages. For the snake, roasted sesame seeds ground into a buttery state is melted into a salted caramel chocolate.
The two are poured warm onto a granite slab and mixed by hand, folding into each other until the union is complete.
The year of the snake is said to bring a much needed calm into the year...although it differs depending on your sign, snakes are a big good luck sign and signify transformation, so leave all the bad stuff behind and embrace the soft buttery layers of life.
