There is something magical about the smell of sugar and butter cooking. Warm, buttery and slightly burnt. The great Marcella Hazan talks about “insaporire”, which translates into to “bestow flavour”, “No matter how alluring the ingredients may be on their own, they must surrender their individual identity for the sake of a more expansive flavour.” Smart lady, we take this to heart when building the flavours of our toffee products, no divas at this party instead a collection of impressive ingredients intermingling and yielding to a greater cause.
