Twilight Rhubarb Gelato *factory exclusive

A beautiful fluffy tangy Spring gelato. Spun up to the texture of clouds the colour wigglypuff pink. This was one of my fave gelatos of the season delicate puckery pink notes paired with a traditional Madagascar Vanilla. Quietly mighty, every melty spoonful a treat.

About Forced Rhubarb
Twilight (forced) Rhubarb grows in sheds in the dark. The pale beautiful pinks and greens are from the lack of light, some growers still harvest with candlelight. The sprouts looking for light grow so fast farmers can hear it pop and squeak it’s way out of the soil. wow!

Forced rhubarb is tender, elegant and sweeter than the thick sour stalks of the summer variety. These beauties were grown an hour North of here by the fine peeps at Lennox Farms.

Gelato and sorbet is made in our kitchen that uses nuts (including tree nuts), eggs, fruit and milk/cream.
